Our second visit to Flixton this year ( 2008 ) was called operation ' Bully Beef '. Flixton is otherwise known as the ' Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum ' The museum is quite spectacular containing 60 aircraft with 22,000 artefacts on display in 2 hangers. There are 8 themed buildings .The museum is a registered charity situated on an 8 acre site. It is a lovely museum and well worth a vistit.with some very unique exhibits. On this ocassion (below )the museum was visted by the ' Far East Prisoners of War ' (FEPOW )The Royal Observer Corps ( ROC ) and the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA ) Again it was a lovely relaxing day, with a small representation of our collection on display.
The vehicle is a rare Morrris Mra1 from the Korean War, which also has a same period Brockouse trailer. We use this to get some of the display about in.The wooden box contains an unissued ww2 British mine detector.
